Protecting people while powering business.

Susie Shin

Managing Principal

Susie Shin leads Zulkie Partners as managing principal, continuing the firm’s work after founder Paul Zulkie’s retirement in 2024. Since she started practicing immigration law in 2010, Susie has worked with pharmaceutical, food distribution, and industrial distribution clients to design immigration programs that deliver the efficiency organizations need along with the personalized guidance their employees deserve.

Clients value Susie’s direct, strategic approach — she identifies needs, provides clear direction, and builds systems that work. Having managed immigration cases in-house at a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company before law school, Susie thinks like HR and legal teams do: focused on outcomes, timelines, and scalability. Her practice includes significant expertise in complex due diligence for corporate restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions demanding careful navigation of immigration implications.

What keeps Susie engaged after fifteen years isn’t the legal complexity — it’s the people. She admires the profound risks immigrants take: leaving behind family, language, and culture for possibility. That respect for courage shapes every interaction. When she’s not working, you’ll find Susie traveling internationally, at CrossFit, or catching up on K-dramas.
